Meet Lisa
Lisa Patterson’s first love is—and always has been—historic homes, architecture, and antiques. Raised in Lexington, Virginia, she cut her teeth in real estate working alongside her father on renovations and auctions. Friends still tease, “If it’s dusted, busted, or rusted, Lisa will buy it and restore it.” That instinct became a calling right out of college when she purchased her first historic property—an early-18th-century home in Lexington. Meeting a Charleston native sealed the next chapter: a move to a city where single houses, piazzas, and walled gardens define daily life.
Now ranked in the top 1% of agents in the Charleston market—and top 1% in sales volume within the Downtown Historic District and South of Broad—Lisa brings 35+ years of experience and an unmatched record of 38 historic restorations, from a 1777 kitchen house to a former plantation. She has lived in Charleston’s historic district for more than three decades and represents clients across the entire market: Downtown, Mount Pleasant and Old Village, Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palms, Daniel Island, and deep-water/waterfront properties throughout the Lowcountry.
Her results are recognized nationally. RealTrends ranks Lisa among the top agents in the United States and among the very top in South Carolina, including a No. 7 ranking in Charleston. She’s a multi-year REALTOR® of Distinction and Top Producers Club honoree, and a multi-year RateMyAgent winner. In 2019 she received the Kitty Robinson Homeowner of the Year Award for preservation. From 2022 through 2025, she was named the City of Charleston and Charleston County’s #1 agent for customer service.
At Daniel Ravenel Sotheby’s International Realty, Lisa is a consistent top producer and the firm’s #1 referral agent—proof of the trust she’s built with Sotheby’s colleagues worldwide. Those relationships translate into vetted buyers, discreet opportunities, and multiple successful placements in the Charleston market each year.
Clients describe Lisa as warm, relentless, and precise—“the hardest-working REALTOR® we’ve ever known.” She handles the heavy lifting, keeps transactions calm and clean, and communicates clearly so clients feel confident at every step. When she isn’t negotiating or on a job site, you’ll likely find her walking Charleston’s cobblestone streets with her standard poodle, Talulah, in the garden, or on the hunt for the next great antique.
From the Battery to the beaches, Lisa blends preservation know-how with market intelligence to help sellers achieve top dollar and buyers secure remarkable homes—beautifully and without drama.
